I like to cover polymaths. Naveen Jain has plays to send robotic explorers to mine the moon, with Moon Express.
He now also has a healthcare play
“Viome is able to analyze microbes in the gut in their Los Alamos Laboratory in New Mexico and cater a diet specific to what that person needs to remain healthy.
Jain told India-West the process of analysis and molding a unique diet could cost upward of $10,000 but Viome is able to offer it for $399 thanks to technology it possesses.
Tests of the gut — from stool samples — need to be performed every several months, Jain said, but in all probability, once a year would suffice, he added.
An at-home kit is delivered to the user once a year with options to repeat the test whenever desired. Viome’s artificial intelligence engine is trained by leading gut scientists, physicians and nutritionists, it said. And when the analysis is complete, the user is provided a personalized, easy-to-follow plan with a precise diet, nutrition and supplement recommendation through a proprietary app.”
