On just one flight segment, it has been fascinating how many different ways Delta and I have communicated
a) Called into the reservation center to change to an earlier flight
b) Got an email with changed itinerary and another asking me how the experience was
c) Checked in on my mobile app and got a digital boarding pass
d) Got to airport and noticed there was a flight an hour earlier. Delta agent helped me with kiosk to change to the earlier flight and got a new boarding pass
e) Got to gate and noticed I had a chance for an upgrade via their display
f) At gate got my upgraded paper boarding pass
g) The flight tracker on the seat display gave me all kinds of useful and useless data
h) Via the GoGo wifi, my mobile device told me arrival gate and time info
In some ways would be nice to only talk to Delta via mobile device but it’s nice to have all the human/physical touches in addition.
