Movie and TV stars are making the transition to the Web

Oprah has launched her Book Club 2.0 “On June 1, Winfrey announced an interactive and multi-platform book club that uses Twitter, Facebook, Storify and GroupMe. Readers can post questions that Winfrey and (author Cheryl) Strayed answer in videos. The print editions of Wild carry a new version of the familiar "O" book club logo. The special e-book includes Winfrey's notes on her favorite passages.”

And USA Today on made for web shows

“The animated sci-fi video series Electric City, created and voiced by (Tom) Hanks, makes its debut today on Yahoo Screen. (Jerry) Seinfeld's online series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, makes its debut Thursday on Crackle.com.”
