I recently saw the Bridgestone bowling ball commercial and started to do research on the unique chemistry/technology/feature set in the innovation.
Duh, I should have had my funny bone exposed - I had seen a similar football commercial during the SuperBowl and laughed.
Bridgestone is not giving up tires for sports (though is does have a nice golf business)
It does continue to be a big sports sponsor
“Part of what makes sports great are the marquee events, and we are happy to partner with the NFL, NHL, and PGA TOUR to bring you some of the most exciting events around the country; from the most watched concert in the world, the Bridgestone Super Bowl Halftime Show, to the NHL’s most popular regular-season game, the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, and one of the PGA TOUR’s premier events, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.”
