For the cover of The New Polymath, I gave credit to our orange tree – see the story here. For the cover of The New Technology Elite, I told the publisher to reuse the tree printed circuit board to honor our oak tree. A large portion of the book was written under its shade so I am glad I can credit it.
The fruits this time only have two colors. They represent the theme of the book - How traditional technology buyers are embedding technology in their products and services and learning to become technology vendors. In reverse how technology vendors, particularly in consumer tech, are becoming like buyers, best practice leaders in a number of operational areas.
I call it the phenomenon of the technology “buyor” and the two sets of fruits on one tree shows that well. Here’s hoping readers enjoy the book under their favorite tree (yes, even your Kindles and Nooks should read fine)
Love to hear from readers which trees you read the book under and expand my botanical horizons!
Great information! I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now. Thanks...

I think you made a few rather interesting points. Not too many people would really think about this the way you just did.
