The skimmer currently near the oil spill may singlehandedly process more oil than 5,000 boats are currently doing in the Gulf. It may be able to process over 21 million gallons of oily water a day – similar to how whales suck in huge amounts of plankton and release the seawater.
And you to admire TMT’s decision to modify something huge and capital intensive just days after the spill began. In that industry, such decisions take months, if not years.
