Now this is amore!

Amore Apologies to Dean Martin, but when the crescent moon draws Venus and Jupiter real close that's amore. Picture taken earlier in day in the Nepal night credit of Christian Science Monitor

Actually my son and I saw the trio Saturday night when the crescent moon was barely 2%. Against a lonesome palm tree and a spectacular Florida sunset it was just magical. I took the photo below with my phone and I wished I had better than a 3 megapixel lens.

I sure hope my son gets to show off to his kids the next time the three get so close again in 2052. Any one care to guess how good the optics will be by then?
