On my way back from India last week I had 2 long flights. On the first flight I worked through the night on a presentation and thanked the power outlet in the seat (I have a APC DC to AC converter). One the second one I was knocked out cold even though it was a day flight. I thanked the 160 degree recline. On both flights I ignored the entertainment choices. And the satellite phone with its "reasonable" pricing. And remarked how things have evolved in the last few years. And how we have seen nothing yet.
We will have more on-line connectivity as this NY Times points out. We will be able to use our cell phones - though many are ambivalent about that. More live TV.
More flat-beds. Early adopter airlines of the A380 promise a whole new series of gyms, bars, even showers. Better, more natural lighting. Fresher air. More non-stops around the world. And may be some day, Houston to Beijing in 2 hours?
