I was invited to a live stream of the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis Concept Reveal this afternoon at the Detroit Auto Show. While Hyundai continues to have a "value" brand image and 5% overall market share, US CEO John Krafcik pointed out its Genesis and Equus brands now have 9% of the premium car market share. The HCD-14 concept continues the upwardly march.
The driver, passenger and heads-up displays are controllable by eye tracking, hand gestures and voice controls – so the evolution of the natural interface in the car.
What is impressive about this year’s Big Daddy of auto shows is the HCD-14 will be one of over 50 launches. Even if the actual auto market is still recovering the show is back with a vengeance.
